I am trying to import the solution from dynamic CRM 2016 to dynamics 365 while importing the data its showing the error " component required by component"  I have been uploaded the entity in solution also but the entity is linked with some managed solution in that solution entity is not up to date.so I need to remove the entity or delete managed solution for resolving this issue. Can any one help me out for resolving this issue.

Thanks in Advance

    Hi Indrasena,

if you have a managed solution (solution 1) which belongs to another managed solution (solution 2), you have only two choice:

    1) Supported solution: import the solution 2 before solution 1, then import solution 1

    2) Check dependencies from solution 1 to solution 2, then export solution 1, check solution 2 required elements id and finally create throught sdk the same element with the same guid (or create the same element, and after set the id). Then zip the solution back and try to import it to CRM.

    Please let me know.

If you have your development environment still, then you can use solution patching since you are using Microsoft Dynamics 2016.

Check out the following blog article.
