Packing slip does not post for original sales order after inter company sales order has been packing slip updated.

Hi All,

I am facing an scenario where original sales order is not updated with automatic packing slip after inter company sales order packing slip has been updated.

Setup is as follows

1 - I have setup inter company between two companies A and B. Where company A sells to its customer C on original sales order and creates a PO to company B to fulfill the requirement. In company B a sales order is created to company A with direct delivery

2 - The customer in selling company has "Auto create inter company orders" and "Direct delivery" both checked to yes

3 - The item has vendor selected as company B

4- Now as we create the sales order from company A to customer C we get intercompnay orders created automatically.

5- Now as we do packing slip update in company B the intercompany PO gets packing slip updated(Product receipt) but the original sales order is still open.

6 - The original sales order packing slip is not posted.

Any idea, To me setup looks fine

Yes the PO is direct delivery and has been automatically updated as it should but it didnt update the original sales order.

Further the marking between the original sales order and PO is not removed. So relation is still there and it should update.

Hi Sagar,

Please double check as below screenshot parameters and steps are followed.
Setup Inter company Link should be activated, Below screenshot is from Original sales order header.

And below screenshot is from inter company setup between vendor and sales company.

Please try to simulate, Also ensure before you post packing slip in inter company sales order, ensure reference PO and original SO are confirmed

Yes I have check it so many times and the setups are same for customer and on original sales order however "print packing slip automatically" is unchecked as its not needed in our business as we dont need to automate printing and the final invoice from customer is posted manually for business reasons and timings.

The posting of inter company packing slips is automated as soon as the original sales order is flagged direct delivery and it was working fine till now but now its not updating original sales order and thats what I am looking into.
