Hi All,

Scenario: I am using MS CRM 2013 on premise.
I had done customization for entity forms and Business process flow. Also i created some custom plugin and register through plugin register tool. For doing this customization i used multiple solution.

Now my deployment environment is ready to deploy on production environment. My production environment is also on premise.

Question:: How can i deploy my customization and custom plugin on Production environment? Please suggest me better way, also if possible share steps to do that.

If anyone need more details please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi - you should use a solution. I recommend using an unmanaged solution if you are in control of both environments.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Scott Durow,

I have gone through link provided by you, what i understood is that, if i will import my dev CRM default solution on Production environment then i will get all customization, custom plugins etc. in that solution. Is it correct way to do that? Please let me know.

    Hi,

Create a custom solution and add your modified object in that solution, like entities, workflow, plugins, web resources etc and export it as unmanaged solution and import to your prod (during import it will ask you to activate your processes, which will enable your plugins). Because you may have only modified specific components, so no need to take everything to prod,

    Thanks.

You certainly could use the default solution - but it is better to create a solution that specifically contains the components that you have customised (plugins, steps, workflows entities etc.) . You can also the apply a solution version that will make it easier to track the progress from Dev->Test->PROD.

    Hope this helps,

    Scott
