Management Reporter Client Install ( connect to different SQL Instances)

I have a server with multiple SQL instances.  Each SQL instance has its own MR databases.  I want to create a server just for the MR client app.

When Customer A launches Designer, she would connect to her SQL instance.  Likewise for Customers B, C, etc.

Installing multiple MR clients on the same machine and then pointing each to a different instance is what I want to do, but it will not let me do that.  I am thinking I might be able to change a configuration file setting for each install and that would be the answer, but I am unable to find the file and setting which points the MR client to the SQL instance.

Suggestions?

Just cancel or close any current windows excluding the main MR window.  Then go to Tools, Connection. Adjust as needed.

Thank you for your response.  However, that is the server side.  My struggle is with the client side.

I have an RDP server.  I would like to publish a Report Designer instance for each customer (because Report Designer can only be pointed to one SQL instance).  The first RD install goes smoothly, however, it seems the install process does not allow me to select a different SQL instance for subsequent installs.

I am guessing there is a .config file somewhere I can change to make RD do what I want to do; but I cannot find the setting.  Anyone?  Thanks!

If you open the MR Admin option you should be able to then click on File > Configure and then link several instances of GP to MR in a single instance.  Then you would just apply out security as you would normally.
