Update multiple appointments related to their incident

Posted on by 40

I try to automatically update multiple appointments related to their parent incident-entity.

The update process has to start if a field in incident gets updated and this new value has to go in all the related (sub-)appointments subjects.

I tried a workflow on incident with field on-change-event but I can't select appointment as a connected entity.

I played a little bit with actions but could'nt solve it this way either.

How can I solve this?

I solved it now via Plugin. Some of your Keywords where helpful, RetrieveMultiple() is also important. Anyhow since you where the only one who answered, I mark this one as solved. Cheers

Thanks for the answer Felippe. Can I solve it via webresources and JavaScript? Plugin development looks very confusing to me.

You can create an PostUpdateIncident Plugin, that will search all appointments related of the incident through the regardingobjectid field and set the value on subject of the appointments.

After that, update the appointmenst too.

    Best Regards,
