Drop selected but no data input

Hello All,

I would like when user selected drop down select options, that selected opetion data is auto input to the field at the Form.

but mine of the data is empty.

I did:

Create a EDT with formhelp: that is my drop down for user select options.

Create a Form with query for when drop down selection data.

Create another Form for user input data: but this field when user selected the option, the data no auto input to the field,

but copy to paste the field is OK.

What's wrong or my miss something??

Hi Jen,

Can you elaborate? Why did you create two forms? How did you call the second form to be opened for the user? Possible also include screenshots as your question is too abstract.

1.Why did you create two forms

One form for EDT form help to could at the field to drop down for selected.

Another one form is main form for input data.

2. How did you call the second form to be opened for the user?

The secod Form is main Form use Form menuitem , user just click the item

then the form open.

3. Possible also include screenshots as your question is too abstract

Please forget the language, just drop the selected options, but data no auto input the field, the field is still empty...

The screenshot is small part visible but should be enough.

My problem is why when I drop down to selected the option like the screenshot 11, why not the 11 can't auto input the field in form??

the field in form is still empty??

I hope you have synchronized tables. It can happen if tables are not synchronized in AOT

Hi,

The form details are clear now. How did you open the lookup form? Using coding or is it the default lookup form according to the properties? Can you share some technical details?

Below is my answer for the question about that

I created the lookup form that could drop down to select the option for categories field.

First I created the AOT Form for lookup named Categorylookup by AOT Query(EcoresCategory join EcoResCategoryHierarchy).

Then I create a EDT: myEcoresCategory and set up the Formhelp: Categorylookup

At last I create the input data Form that could drop down to selected the categories options.

Hello Sir,

I did synchronized AOT, but still can't show the value that selected options' data.

Now I think the problem is there have no match, so don't know get what data to the field.

so, could tell me how to get the selected option data to the field's text??

and where to write the code.

I try Form field modify / form selectionchange ....no work, maybe is my code wrong...

I think the code maybe is like:

Args args= this.record.field(EcoResCategory.name）

myEcoResCategory.CategoryName = EcoResCategory.name

the right code, please help and thanks a lot.
