Integration Manager Chart of Account Import

I am working on GP (18.2) and want to import via Integration Manager a number of new accounts to an existing COA.

When I attempt to import I get an error message that the SEGMENT is not defined.  It appears that each account segment has to be entered into the GL40200 table before entering into the GL00100 table - which is a pain since there appears to be no way to use Integration Manager to do that.

So I am looking at Table import - not my favorite - but wondering if I can be cheap on that or do I need to fill in all the blanks.

If so, what is SEGCOUNT in GL40200 - some segments show 1 some show 2 - I believe it is the number of actual accounts that use that segment as I did find a couple where the SEGCOUNT was 39 and or 11

Just need a confirmation and a better way to import the COA if anyone can share in the next 1/2 hour.

    Thanks for the update Josh,  I will put that in the trick bag for the next project.

    At this time I created a list of all Segment 2 numbers and using the Table Import imported them into the Segment Master - GL40200 table.  That made it work with out forcing the waring message in the application to off.

    There's a way to work around this one.

    In GP open the account card.

    for the first segment, enter a segment number that does not exist. You will get the following prompt.

    Mark "Do not display this message again" and click no.

    Enter the rest of the account number and then click clear.

    Try the above one more time and ensure the message does not pop up.

    If not, try the import again.
