Hello All,
We are using Gp 9.0 with SP2 with SQL 2005 and there is only User and it occurs only after 5.30p where that only one specific User gets an error message " A save operation on table SOP_HDRWORK failed accessing SQL " when he tries to enter an Order/Quote.
And even it fails with an error message, the order gets saved.
All day long that user is fine and he is able to process all type of TRX in SOP/GP.

Finally I switched the User from the troubling Terminal Server to another one and so far User is all fine fro the past one week.
Thanks you very much for all the folks who took extra effort to bail me out and it is highly apprecaited
Does this user have the same problem when logging in from a different computer? Do other users using this same terminal server have this problem. Have you tried running the GRANT.SQL script against your company and DYNAMICS databases?

I understand your frustration in regards to my response that you are on an unsupported version. Once a version is unsupported be cannot assist any further regardless if it is in these forums or if you were to create a case for this issue. Once you have started using a supported version and are still receiving the message we would be more than willing to assist with this error. I apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause you.

Have you tried running SQL profiler for this one user. I would turn it on just before 5:30pm when transactions can be processed and filter it for this user and then leave it on and watch what happens after 5:30pm.
Perhaps check with your IT staff. Perhaps this user is only allowed to be connected during the hours 9 and 5:30pm. Can this user do other things after 5:30pm in GP?

I know and we are in the process of migration which is not just a flip over. However you should have also suggessted the solution to my issue and saying end of life does not relieve the resposibility.
Now I also know that microsoft peope do monitor everything and keep an eye but to warning, not solving the issue because I ahve posting Question for past 5-6 years and never saw any response from MS but now

You mentioned that you are on GP 9. GP 9 is a unsupported version of GP. Support for Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and support for Small Business Financials 9.0 is ending on January 11, 2011. To ensure you are on a supported version of Microsoft Dynamics GP, please update to Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 or higher.
Note: Tax and regulatory updates for Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0 and Microsoft Small Business Financials 9.0 was retired January 11, 2011.

That happens to me all the time - everything works great when I am watching. :-) If you're able to figure this out, please let us know. I have seen this from time to time, but have not been able to find a cause.
I forgot to mention before, but I have also seen virus scanning cause this message.. When you open windows it creates some temp files which are then locked when the virus scanner is scanning them. It causes msg's similar to this one.

Thanks for your reply. The error message comes with only one option, 'OK' and nothing else. I have been monitoring the user for few days and somehow not able to go to any direction to find any clue.
