Hi,

We understand that Common Data Services is based on Common Data Model based on the youtube videos.

1. Powerapps = Common Data Services?

Is the product name for common data services is Powerapps?

2. Is there any bare bones version of common data services?

3. Is common data model / service available on-premise?

hi Singaravelu,

the CDS is a service can integration with Power APPs and Power BI.

for D365 Power BI there are two types:

Power BI.com integration with CDS https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/entity-store-on-prem

Power BI embedded https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/power-bi-embedded-integration?toc=/dynamics365/commerce/toc.json

Hi,

1) No, they both serve different purpose. CDS is a service to store/manage data whereas Power App can utilize CDS data wto build Mobile/Tablet apps.

2) No. You can read more about this here - powerapps.microsoft.com/.../

3. As per my knowledge, No its not available on premise.

Hi,

Is there any way to subscribe to Standalone Common Data Services without Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.?

A plain CDS service, without any other attachments.
