Batch Job to Auto Post Costs in Projects

Hello everyone,

I am having a hard time coming up with a solution that will allow me to auto post costs in multiple projects through a batch job. I have tried to create a batch job using the "ProjJournalCheckPost" class but you cannot enter that class into the class name.

Is there another solution to this??

Currently using Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Hi,

If you refer to project expense journals then try the following:

Open GL / periodic / journals/post journals.

This form allows you selecting and posting your project expense journal in batch.

Hi Ludwig,

I created a batch job using the post journals and under the journal type i selected project expense but it still does not capture any of the hour transactions on the project.

In the screenshot you can see that what i am trying to post is under Manage > Process > Post Costs once i get there i can select and that opens the Select transactions to post costs but the problem is we have to post these transactions by going into each project individually i cannot figure out how to batch them all together.

Hello ScorpioDax,

To full look at this we would also need the information on the project setup parameters, the project contracts and what you have defined for billing rules. To really dig in and research this the best thing would be to create a support case with Microsoft to be able it identify the specifics of what you would like the system to do and how to work within the system to accomplish this or if a customization would be required to get your desired results.
