Custom Field set to "Optional" still showing Required

I have a custom field named "new_usbsignature" that is showing as required to my users. This field should be optional.  I have triple checked that the "Field Requirement" on this field is set to "Optional" but it still shows and acts as a required field. I have refreshed my browser, removed it from the form and added it back, and I have set it to "Business Required" saved and published it and set it back to "Optional" and still no luck.

Any Ideas?

Thank you for your time :)

    Did you try clearing your browser cache? Sometimes customizations get stuck.

    Hi,

    There should be some Business Rules/ Java Scripts which is making the field as business required. Can you check the related business rules and java scripts.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Abhiram

    Mitch, I now have tried it on a brand new windows install so sadly it doesn't look like it is that easy. Thank you for your suggestion!

    Abhiram, I checked the related business rules and there were none (i even tried creating one to turn it off but no luck). Where can I check for the javascripts?

    Also I have noticed that when the page first loads there is no asterisk (indicating a required field) next to it but after it finishes loading there is. In addition to that there is no asterisk in the form editor.

    Hi C4gamer2,

    It sounds like it could be custom JavaScript, you can check this from the form editor by clicking on Form Properties.

    Hi C4gamer2,

    Check from Entity Form Onload event when you find  javascript like below delete or comment,

    Xrm.Page.data.entity.attributes.get("new_usbsignature").setRequiredLevel("required");

    Thank you all for helping me! I am really thankful all of you took time to help me with this issue. It was a javascript that was the issue.
