I have this error message when user on my network try to logon on Nav 2009: ODBC error occured [Microsoft][ODBC SQL server Driver] timeout expired State ID: HYT00.

system:

windows server 2008

SQL server 2008.

Turn off the Domain Firewall on your Windows server 2008.

We use to have the same problem using remote desktop.

Hi all,

I am having the same error as Ralph Jean Joseph the only difference is that i am running SQL server 2005. This error only happens when am trying to open the database in Classic with SQL. Strangely for my case when i open the database and go to advanced and change it from Default to named pipes am actually able to open the database but using default and TCP/IP sockets am not able to log on and it presents me with the below error.

Secondly RTC is able to log on with out any error whatsoever. Any one with a hint here.
