The goal is to get this functioning properly because we want the goals to roll up etc.

Well we noticed that it was not firing automatically so after looking into this further we found an error.

(click to expand the error, I apologize they are so small)

Any idea what is causing it? It says a user's action was the reason why the system job was canceled..????

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    We are having the same problem.  The Goal Rollup Job is canceled, with same error as above. When we try to resume, postpone, pause, or cancel, we get the following error:

    The state transition requested is not valid for the current state. Current state: 3, current status: 32, target state: 1. [postpone]

    or

    The state transition requested is not valid for the current state. Current state: 3, current status: 32, target state: 0

    Any ideas how to resolve?

    We have 2016 on premise; I suspect this happened when we updated from 2013 on premise.

    We are having a similar issue. Did you ever get this resolved?

    Microsoft recommends we update the AsyncOperationBase table directly. Sample below:

    update asyncoperationbase

    set

    statecode = 1

    ,statuscode = 10

    where asyncoperationid in ('BAEA319E-3231-4240-9567-711FD2F47B77')
