Inventory recalc batch job relative date parameter

My company wants to run Recalc Inventory as a periodic scheduled batch job at 11:00 pm each night. We need to be able to specify one of the parameters - "Recalculate inventory up to" to be the current date of the job.

The form does not allow a date formula, or for that matter, anything other than a finite date chosen from the Date/Calendar choice popup.

 I have looked at using a period code with no success.  Maybe I don't know how to set it up properly to generate the current date in the "up to" date parameter.

Does someone have the recipe?

    Hi,

    I am not sure about the date formula you are referring to. As per Inventory recalculation is concerned, value for the field "Recalculate inventory up to" is stored in date variable transdate on class InventCostClosing(base class of InventCostClosingRecalc) and business logic is available in method initInventClosing of class InventCostClosing(line #25).

    If we specify period code, this value is defaulted based on period code(code is available

    in method initTransDate of class InventCostClosing).

    Please let me know if anything is missing/required.

    Basically you can make it work with a future date but that affects GL posting

    Otherwise you need a customisation to use today's date when run in batch mode.
