Published customizations not showing D365

Posted on by 299

Hi all

I'm trying to edit the Status Reason on the pane that appears when you mark an opportunity as Close as Lost.

I've edited the field as normal, hit Save, then Publish all Customizations, all as normal. However the modified field never gets updated in the app.

Here's my change

2020_2D00_09_2D00_21-10_5F00_50_5F00_50_2D00_Field_5F00_-Status-Reason-of-Opportunity-_2D00_-Personal-_2D00_-Microsoft_0B20_-Edge.png

But here's my Lost pane.

2020_2D00_09_2D00_21-10_5F00_34_5F00_08_2D00_Opportunity_5F00_-Opportunity_5F00_-SharePoint-Portal-_2D00_-Microsoft-Dynamics-365-and-18-more.png

I've tried closing our browsers, clearing caches, waiting....

Any ideas how to push it through? I've also tried viewing the field in the new Experience editor, and that shows the contents there as well, though I can't edit it outside of the Classic editor.

In this case I think I've solved it.

Oddly, the field that I was editing wasn't the right one. It had the right name, the same field values, but wasn't the one on the form.

If I go in to the Quick Create: Opportunity Close form, the properties of the Status Reason show that it was using a completely different field. Editing that field fixed it.

The Quick Create : Opportunity Close form itself, has fields which weren't showing when I clicked "Close as Lost". This is why I didn't look further at it, as the form itself just didn't look like the one I was seeing onscreen.

    Ohhhhh how I love Dynamics.

Is it having a reference to the same Status Reason field or some other Global Option set?

    Hi Bipin

I wouldn't know where to start I'm afraid.

    Thanks.

Yes, we have a customisation on the Close form, and yes that setting is enabled in the settings. I think the customisation was to add a field to the close form, or change the wording of something there, I can't recall.

Should that prevent the Lost pane from updating though?

    Hi Olly,

I have also encountered the issue that the published customization will not take effect in the user page. Generally, I need to change my browser or clear the cache to see that the modified customization takes effect.

You can try to publish it again on https://make.powerapps.com/ to see if it works.

    Hi Olly,

Publishing should have displayed your changes on the form. Please check if there are any customization on the Close form.
