Hi everyone,

We has a new entity based in UK that we need to configure the VAT codes, VAT groups, and Item VAT groups in D365.  I am familiar with the different VAT rates for UK.  However, I need information or reference on how to set it up in D365.

Please share any reference document or screenshots on how it is setup in D365.

Thank you so much for your assistance on this question.

Thank you so much for sharing this information, Amith.

I am looking for any information on how to setup the Sales Tax codes and groups specific to UK.

I found this article which is slightly helpful.

    learn.microsoft.com/.../emea-gbr-mtd-vat-integration-declaration

I am looking for how to setup the Sales tax code, Sales Tax group and Item Sales tax Group for UK to ensure I am setting it up correctly.  Even just screenshots would be helpful.

    Cheers!

    Hi Vanessa V.

    you need to setup

    1. Sales Tax Code: where you defined validity and the Tax Percentage etc
    2. Sales Tax Group

    3. Item Sales Tax Group

then you need to link /assign Sales Tax code(s) to Sales Tax Group and Item Sales Tax group,
tax will be calculated based on the Sales Tax Group and Item Sales Tax group Codes combination, except when you need to post an entry to the GL account with type tax , its enough to select Sales Tax code and Item Sales Tax code, but when for the Tax GL accounts you need to specify tax code too. that is the theory part ;)

for the detailed steps refer : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/configure-tax-module-dyn365-finance/

    hope this will help.

    Regards,

    Amith Prasanna
