Email Sends - Unsubscribes / Workflow

Hi Community,

Can you please confirm if it's possible to build a workflow that generates an email to an internal email address when a contact unsubscribes? 

If possible, can you please confirm in steps how this is done?

Any information you can provide would be highly appreciated.

    Hi

    When the user clicks on Unsubscribe link, the reply email subject will have the word UnSubscribe right.

    You could change your workflow condition to only check the Subject field not the body (Description) as the email body may have unsubscribe from GDPR Ts&Cs

    Hi Kikulan,

    Thank you for confirming the above.

    I can confirm that these steps do work and I was able to set up a workflow where I was being notified when Unsubscribe was found in an email that was linked to Dynamic 365. But the issue I now have is that all of the emails we send and track through the CRM are also being flagged up as the word 'unsubscribe' is in our company email signature due to new GDPR Laws.

    Do you know of another word that we could search for within the 'Unsubscribe' emails as we can no longer user Unsubscribe?

    Hi

    Yes it is possible, please see the details below.

    01. Create a workflow on Email entity and this should trigger on Create/Received status

    02. Check if the email subjet/body is related to the Unsubscribe message

    03. If its an Unsubscribe email, then you can use the Send Email step in the workflow to send the email to an internal address
