RM20101.SIMPLIFD field - how is it used?

Posted on by 615

We import SOP and RM transactions using Scribe and are looking for a way to flag imported transactions so that they can be easily distinguished from manually keyed transactions.  Currently we use the Shipping Method field for this but since users can enter values in this field it's not ideal (we only provide services so a Shipping Method is never applicable, but people still feel compelled to select it).

There is a field called SIMPLIFD that's in the SOP and RM transaction tables that appears to be unused (all transactions have a value of 0 in this field).  Does anyone know how this field is intended to be used in GP?  If we set this field to 1 for all imported transactions will we be triggering any unintended actions within GP?  Thx.

    Good Day.

We would not recommend using any fields in this manner.  While the SDK is vague on this field " Used to indicate a Simplified transaction", it is a check box field and the field is in several tables as well as the SOP and RM tables and so I would not recommend to use this.

In the SOP10100, the fields INTEGRATIONSOURCE, INTEGRATIONID could possibly be used as they are not used by GP for any other purpose.  Unfortunately, RM20101 does not have these fields.  It would be better to use something like a Description field rather than a 'flag' field.

    Thanks!
