Dears,

I hope everyone is doing well.

kindly i have a question about the Purchase order workflow,

can we disable the recall button of the workflow for all users except the originator or the creator of the purchase order.

do we have any option to prevent this option for the others?

regards

Hi Karim, Please check this article. You can check debug PurchTableTemplateEventHandler class and CoC on cancelled method.

    Hi Karim,

The following links mentioned that solution can be providing access of Cancel Menu of item of your workflow to Current Role of user. Note that “Recall” is represented by Cancel menu item of workflow. These menu items are generated at time of workflow development. Please check out old threads, hope these will be helpful.

    Hi Karim,

Out of the box, only the submitter can cancel the workflow. In addition, system administrator and the Information technology manager can manage workflows. For that reason, they can recall the workflow as well.

IF the submitter of the workflow is the same as the creator of the workflow, your requirement is already standard.

    Hi Andre

Actually, i had some doubts about what you said, and i have checked it by me as a system administrator. and i did it without any issue it accepted the recall and the edit as well for the PO's data. so, i went to use a username with purchase roles and he did it normally.

it wasn't just a recall, but he could update and resubmit the order again without any changes in the (created by, requested, and Mofied by) fields.!!  it has the original data without any updates.

so, the current status is, anyone can recall the PO and submit it again and you will not be able to track his user who did it. it's a crise.

    Hi Karim,

If I understand your reply, then this is not a workflow recall, but a change request on the purchase order, correct?

No, it's a recall to the workflow

    Hi Karim,

If it is about the recall, please explain if a user not having the system administrator role is able to recall someone else's workflow instance and what steps he performs to do this.
