My user have admin rights in SQL, AOS and local machine.

Note: I have also tried different users but facing same issue again & again.

Can anyone tell me what is the issue?

RE: Error in deploying Async Server by Powershell

    Hi Hassan,

In R3 RTM setup, in it's initial shipment there are few Powershell scripts of Retail which are having bugs. Download the slipstream packages from of latest R3 CU (CU 10 preferably) and try installing again with slipstreaming.

For any help on how to make a slipstream in AX 2012 R3 setup refer to blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../how-to-slip-stream-ax-2012-r3-cu-8

If you are still facing error, please let me know.

RE: Error in deploying Async Server by Powershell

    Hi Hassan,

Error message says that 'Windows NT user or group 'ESS.DNM\ax.aos' not found.

You can try to use Microsoft guide to fix this error: support.microsoft.com/.../324321

Also you can try to open script Deploy-Databases.ps1 (this script throws exception in your case) and read its content to find error place.

    Usually Deploy-Databases.ps1 is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\CDX\Async Server\Tools

    Regards,

    Oksana

RE: Error in deploying Async Server by Powershell

    Hi Manish,

I have used slipstream method to install only Async Server component and configured the Async server using Power shell. I have used bellow blog post to deploy Async Server Database and service.

    blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../installing-the-ax-2012-r3-async-server-to-a-clustered-sql-server-environment

First deploy only database component then the service.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    Regards,

    Vinod Bhandari

    Hi Hassan,

I think you may solved this issue. I have same problem as you faced, it took too much time to troubleshoot this error.

Error: Windows NT user or group 'ESS.DNM\ax.aos' not found check the name again.

exactly as you said this user has admin rights both on SQL and AOS agreed.

    Solution:

Here you are using fully qualified domain name (FQDN) which is "ESS.DNM\ax.aos"

    (1) Create a user in SQL with Partially Qualified Domain Name (PQDN) e.g ESS\aos (make sure this user has full rights to create DB)

    (2) Then change the NT user as you created in SQL in my case FQDN was butt.local\sqladmin I make it PQDN e.g butt\sqladmin.

    (3) Restart the services of SQL

    (4) Finally remove created partially created message DB of AsyncServer and initialize the process you may succeed.
