Hi
I have a requirement in my project. I need to design UI where an user selects a position they will be able to find the list of positions they can able to assign roles. After selecting the position they need to get new screen where list of the roles which the position can assign. Please let me know how to customize. MS dynamics V 9.0 on premise version.

You might want to re-think about your approach as normally the security roles and permissions are controlled and managed by sys admin team.
Allowing users to assign security roles for themselves may not be a good approach as it might open the system to malicious users / attacks
You need to create two custom entities.
1-Position.
2-Roles.
If you need to attach one Role with only one position then you need to add lookup of Postion on Roles.
If one need to attach one Role with multiple position then create N:N relationship between them and Postion subgrid on Roles.
Then you can create HTML web resource for your requirement.

This functionality you need to develop from scratch... perhaps you can use custom forms/HTML5/webresources page which will enable you to achieve this.

Are you referring to out of box Position & Security Roles? If yes then you cannot relate security roles with the positions. If you have Position & role as custom entity then you can simply create the lookup field on user entity for both Position & Role (considering custom entity here).
You can then also apply related lookup filtering to display only roles related to position in the Role lookup.
