Hi:

I know that you can create a Sales Invoice from a Job.

But, is it possible to convert a Sales Order into a Job?

John

Hi, as for as I know, there is not a way to convert Sales Quotes or Orders to a Job by default.

It should be possible if customized, and hopefully other experts can give you better advice.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

You can create a Sales Invoice and Credit memo from Job planning lines, but there is no way to create a Sales order, please take help from your Development partner to customize it for you.

    Thanks.

We have developed customisations for this based on preconfigured rules.  For example, you can set up a job as a template and each sales order is allocated to the template job that contains the structure and valid values for tasks.  Another thing to consider is how and when  you want to delete the sale order as the process flow has now changed and picking is done from the job

No such functionality available out of the box. And if you end up doing customization it might be a good idea to simplify the registration of a new job instead of going through sales order to do so. Then you would be compliant with the Business flow that is designed in Business Central.
