    Hey Drew,

I'm trying to get this to work with Dynamics 365 field service 8.8.9.84 with a custom entity.

What is the correct format for the Assign Value Details: Value?

Does the field have to be separated from the values with brackets or any other separator.

From your example it looks like: Day Number| 1=red,2=red,3=orange,4=green   (should the pipe be used here after the field name?)

My attempt is: HD Priority Low=green,Medium=orange,High=red

This is not working for me

    thanks, Dave

    Hi Drew,

Yes you right its works. When I used display name instead of logical name of field then it works on custom fields also. But limitation  for range values which is big one.

Anyways very thanks for your support and feedback.

    Regards,

    Danish

RE: Conditional Formatting-How to classify unread records inside Crm

    Hi Danish,

I just tested with a custom entity and it worked but the documentation is not very clear so I had to play with it a bit.

    1.  I had a custom entity (Test Entity) which has a schema name of new_testentity - The new_testentity is the name I had to fill out in the action otherwise condition, see below:

    SnipImage-_2800_3_2900_.JPG

    2.  I then had to configure the OutputConfig with the field as it is displayed on the screen vs. what the schema or actual field name is.  Example is I am displaying the field as Day Number so this is how I needed to configure:

    SnipImage-_2800_3_2900_.JPG

This ended up displaying correctly with the colors on the list view below for the custom entity:

    SnipImage-_2800_4_2900_.JPG

I assume this will only work (from what I see) with setting specific values, not ranges so that is a limitation of the solution.

I would appreciate if you mark verified on these answers I provided.

    Hi Drew,

Thanks and I did success with it.But I found below limitation in subject solution.

    (1) Output confiq only works with Crm default fields(out of box),not working on new fields.

(2)If  require some data range like > or < then it will not work.

    Regards,

    Danish

RE: Conditional Formatting-How to classify unread records inside Crm

I implemented the solution in 2016 just now and I did not need to change any XRMService URL at all.  To get the solution to work, on the default implementation with the Case and the Priority which is implemented by default in the solution, I had to change the name on the Arguments-EntityName to be Incident vs. incident as it is an exact match situation for that name from the logical name of the entity.

    SnipImage-_2800_1_2900_.JPG

Once I did that and refreshed my Active Cases grid the color was reflected.  I did not have to change anything else.

    Thanks much,

    Hi,

Any idea for do below step in documentation.because I'm unable to understand that point.

Step 6: As a part of the managed solution, a javascript webresource “new_/Scripts/CondFormat.js” would also be imported. Here you would have to change the XRMService URL based on your organization implementation.
