Email configuration, "E-mail-error: Uknown MAPI-error"

Hello everybody

I want to send an e-mail with Outlook through AX3.0, but i don't know why i can't.

I go through :

- CustTable (form)

- Communication (Tab)

- Click on the email logo

Then i get this Uknown MAPI-error. Usually when you click on the logo it would open an mailing wizard, i was told

I thinks its because the AX has not been configured to the Outlook, but it is only speculation.

Do anybody know how to solve this problem?

    I would lie if I said that I remember how it worked in AX 3.0... Do you have any environment where it works? Do you have the same version of Outlook installed on the machine where you're trying this?

    MAPI error means AX is trying to open the Mail client. I am unsure if AX 3.0 is compatible with more recent e-mail client versions, but you do need either Windows Mail, or an Outlook Mail client deployed where the AX client is running for sure. If you have a more recent version of Outlook, maybe that is no longer compatible with version 3.

    First of all make sure you do have some sort of regular mail client installed on the computer wherever the AX client is started from, and if it still does not work, try older versions.
