Business Central Excel add-in

Yesterday, before Microsoft updated BC Online to 21.0.46256.46853, the Excel add-in was updating BC perfectly.

Today I setup the Excel add-in to deploy as Centralized.

Now I cannot open the downloaded Excel file. I get this error.

I am the admin for this client. I enabled all users to use the add-in.

"you don't have permission to access this add-in. Contact your system administrator to request access"

This issue was resolved by Microsoft for Sales and Purchase Order lines. However, our client noticed it had not been resolved for inserting bins in the warehouse module. I submitted another ticket to MSFT. They are "working on it", but don't consider it a priority.

    Sincerely,

    Steve Simon

    Hi

I was just wondering if this is still an issue or if Microsoft has already resolved this?

If not resolved: Is there any official MS link where I can follow the progress, or do I need to create a ticket with MS myself?

Access works for me but the system filters are not being reflected in the Edit in Excel, and data can't be published back if a column is manually filtered.

A hotfix was rolled out, but not yet applied to the East US. Well, I tested it and Edit in Excel is still broken if you try to insert a Document No or Line No, both of which are R/O. However, they were always R/O, but Excel inserts worked before Version 21.

Here is Microsoft's response to me from Monday, 10/31/22

    "

    Hello Steve,

Happy Halloween, I trust you had a great weekend.

A hotfix was rolled out globally over the weekend, kindly confirm this issue has been mitigated on your ends.

    I await your feedback.

    Warm regards,

Thanks, SPritchard. I'll pass your comment to Microsoft, where we have a case open.

    Sincerely,

    Dear All,

I created a case with Microsoft and they know about it. They will report back as soon as they know how to mitigate the problem.

    Hello Simon,

Sorry for the delayed response from yesterday, I think there was an issue that caused you not to see the mail.

However, this is my normal working hours, and you should receive mails at the appropriate time.

Regarding your issue, this is a known issue and the product team is currently working on it.

I will provide you with feedback once the mitigation steps are provided.

    Warm regards,

Thank you, Mahmood for your response:

"It seems a global problem in v21"

I created a case with Microsoft and will let you all know what they say. No answers yet.

    Sincerely,

    Steve Simon
