GP manufacturing deleting machine ID's

Hello.

I have a customer who uses GP 2010 manufacturing and they have made some changes to their routings sequences. as a result some of the old machine id's are no longer being used and can be deleted.

I have removed any occurrence of the machine ID's being used on the routing sequence but, when I try to delete the unused machine, then I get an error message that the machine is still assigned to a working routing.

can anyone offer some advice as to where I would need to look to find the "hidden" link that's preventing me from removing the old machine ID's ?

OK so I think I found part of the problem, in that I still have records in WO010130. my questions now is, is there away I can archive those completed and closed MO's ? the Remove tool in Mfg removes them completely from the system, but my customer wants to keep them for reference purposes.
