Edit in Excel not available on Phys. Inventory Recording page part

On the Phys. Invt. Recording Subform page, the Edit in Excel option is not available. It is available on other list and list part pages.

Is there a way to enable Edit in Excel for certain page parts? Are there any restrictions that a page must follow to allow the Edit in Excel feature?

Edit in Excel is not available on all pages out of the box. There is no way to enable it without a developer customizing the system to add it on the specific page that its required. Alternatively, it can be suggested as an idea so it can be added in the future - Categories (dynamics.com)

Valentin is right, Microsoft usually adds required features in major updates. For example,

Business Central 2021 wave 2 (BC19) new features: Edit in Excel in recurring general journals and intercompany general journals

Hello,

If you plan to use Excel to key in the recorded quantity, I suggest using the 'Importing Recording Lines...' instead.

this doesn't seem to be out of box. I took a look at the same page and don't get that feature as well.

Simplest way to do this is create a list page for table, here is some sample code and app file to add the page shown below
