Hello,

Is there a way to trace the purchasing process from MSPO through RFQ and to PO placement?  A single identifier that we could look back to this is where demand was driven from, here are the quotes sent and received, to this is the PO placed.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Jeff,

Can you explain the abbreviation MSPO?

Sorry, I am referring to the planned purchase orders.  The MSPO number is the number assigned to the Planned Purchase Order.  It is a new number reassigned everday when MRP is ran.

    Hi,
There is no such out-of-the-box functionality, you may need custom development:
    MSPO (Planned Purchase Orders):
Creation: The first step is the creation of planned purchase orders (MSPO). These are generated based on demand, forecasting, or other criteria in the system.

    RFQ:

Association with MSPO: Planned purchase orders can be associated with RFQs. In Dynamics 365 F&O, there might be fields or relationships that link an MSPO to the corresponding RFQ.
Quotes Sent and Received: The RFQ process involves sending out requests for quotations and receiving quotes from vendors. The system should track the quotes sent and received, possibly associating them with the MSPO.

    Purchase Order Placement:

Conversion from RFQ to PO: Once the quotes are received and evaluated, a decision is made to convert an RFQ into a purchase order. This action should ideally be traceable in the system.
Link to Original MSPO: The system may provide a reference or a link between the created purchase order and the original MSPO, allowing you to trace the procurement back to its source.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
