Hello everybody,

I want to find a solution to a problematic about the contacts in CRM. I would like to manage a lot of contacts in an other application. This contacts have been imported from CRM in a excel file, no problem so far. All this contacts can be modify, added, deleted by all the users of our group, in our application. I would like to create a "referent" excel file (or another type of file), that could be used by CRM to update himself time after time, and when new contacts will be added in CRM, it should be also in capability to update this file. What kind of solution can help me? Thanks a lot,

JohanD

An alternative to Script would be Kingswaysoft's SSIS toolkit - www.kingswaysoft.com/.../ssis-integration-toolkit-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm

You can use the Upsert function.

I really think that the Export to Excel and re-import is going to be the most efficient mechanism for you!

Let us know how you get on!

As far as I know, export the data into an Excel dynamic/pivot worksheet is the closest out of box function to your requirement, which will provide the update to date data from CRM in the Excel.

Check below link which may give you some idea how to integrate excel and CRM.

    Hi Yu,

Thanks for your reply. I'm gonna study that but there wouldn't be an intern solution in CRM for this kind of problematic?

    Hi Johan

I think you can use Scribe to implement this function, create two DTS package.  One use The Excel file as the source ,CRM as the target. Use opposite setting in other DTS.

Then you can event based or create publisher for your integration package to make it update time after time.

    Hi,

If you want to periodically clean/create new contacts you can use the export/reimport feature. This way you can export your contacts, edit them in excel online and then re-import. Any changes will be made and new rows will be added.

It really is a neat feature!

    See www.microsoft.com/.../analyze-your-dynamics-365-data-in-excel-online.aspx

    Hope this helps
