Royal Bank of Canada Safe Pay File Format Record Count

The Royal Bank Safe Pay File Format has the following mandatory Category/record structures:

File Header (A)...................................................................Record Count:  0000001

Batch Header(B)......................................................Record Count:  0000002

Transaction Detail Record(C)........................Record Count:  0000003

Transaction Detail Record(C)........................Record Count:  0000004

Batch trailer(T).........................................................Record Count:  0000005

File Trailer(Z).....................................................................Record Count:  0000006

Each of these sections has a 'Record Count' field that should increament as above. While I can get the Record Count on the File Header, Batch Header and the Transaction Detail to work as required, I am unable to get the Record Count on the Batch Trailer and the File Trailer to increament from the last Transaction Detail Record Count.

The last two seem to be picking up the 'Same' Record count # from the 'Batch Header'.

I am sure there is someone out there who knows how and what to do, along with others who use Royal Bank Safe Pay. I would, along with some others who have the same problem, would appreciate some help from the many MVP's or atleast Microsoft Forum moderators.

Thanks & Regards,

Deesom.

would you mind sharing your file format, I would like to test safepay before paying to have it implemented.
