How to input sales order user defined fields into purchase order report using report writer

Posted on by 20

I want to be able to convert the user defined fields in the sales order form into the purchase order report using Custom Report Writer.  I have checked the box that allows fields from the Sales Order to automatically print on the purchase order; however, I want the user defined fields to be converted as well.  Does anyone know how to do this?  I did find a table called SOP_POPLink but there does not appear to be primary key on which to build from.  Has anyone done this? It seems to me that this should be built in yet I don't know where to make this happen.

You need to make sure that:

    1. You use sales commitments to link the SO to the PO -- the line item must be back ordered and you can click Action >> Purchase to create a PO that is linked to the SO

    2. You would then need to create a link from the PO line item to the POP-SOP table

    3. You can then link the SOP user defined table to the POP-SOP table
