Production update (Start) desire multiple defaults

Due to our manufacturing layout and item setups, we need some productions to Start update differently than others (post pick journal vs not post it). Similarly, some items we would like to bypass the Report Finished update and go directly to End update, depending on the production item.

How do others handle this?

In AX 3 past we had multiple user ids for the production scheduler so that she did not have to reset her update defaults all the time (she just had to know which set of prods she needed to update, which was bad enough).

It seems that the default production parameter by site feature could almost be applied on a per item basis.

We are on AX 2009

Hi Mark,

The defaults are indeed related to the user settings. You can consider a customization to achieve another behavior.
