PAYROLL CHECK REGISTER Employee FICA & Employer FICA NOT MATCHING.

U.S. PAYROOL CHECK REGISTER:

"FICA MEDICARE" WITH  HELD & "FICA SOC SEC" WITH HELD ARE NOT MATCHING EMPLOYER FICA OWED. THEY ARE OFF BY FRACTIONS.

1/1/13 = PAYROLL THEY MATCHED

1/9/13 = PAYROLL SHORT .06 ON EMPLOYER OWED

1/16/13 = PAYROLL OVER .04 ON EMPLOYER OWED

ON JANUARY 15TH, I HAVE DOWN LOADED THROUGH "SA" TAX UPDATE ROUND 2 AND VERIFIED THE AMOUNTS UNDER: SET UP/COMPANY/PAYROLL TAX.
 THE AMOUNTS ARE CORRECT EMPLOYEE 1.45% MEDICARE, EMPLOYEE 6.2% SOC.SEC., EMPLOYER 1.45% MEDICARE, EMPLOYER 6.2%.

WHY ARE THE AMOUNTS  NOT MATCHING UP ON THE CHECK REGISTER IS THERE A ROUNDING OFF ISSUE?

    This was addressed in the January HotFix.

    My guess and is only a guess, is this will be addressed with the hotfix\service pack that will be released for GP2010 and GP2013 sometime in late March (there will need to be a code update to address the change in the 941 report, which I don't even think the IRS has realeased a draft of yet).

    Hi Leslie,

    Yes I have installed round 2 of the tax tables and it did not correct.

    Any idea when they will fix this?

    Hello all,

    This is a known issue. Have you installed round 2 of the 2013 tax tables? This wasn't a code update, so I imagine the rounding problem still exists. It will be addressed, but I guess it will be a little later. In the mean time, we'll have a few cents off here and there. Hopefully it won't persist.

    There have been a few reports on the forum regarding rounding issues with the 2012 Round 6\7 and 2013 Round 1\2 tax updates.   I am guessing it has something to do with the tiers that are now part of the medicare tax.
