Microsoft Dynamics GP has stopped working

The client has been using GP2013R2 for over a year now.  A few days ago, one workstation starting getting the error Microsoft DynamicsGP has stopped working and closed the app when she was attempting to open the General Journal entry window.

GP Build: 12.00.1745 (R2)

Dex: 12.00.0311.000

System:  Win7

ODBC Manager:  03.80.0000

ODBC Driver:  10.00.1600

SQL Server2014: 12.0.2000.8 (X64)

Should there we attempt to re-install to see if the error is corrected or, does a service pack correct the issue?

    Either Jamie or Leslie's solution may do the trick.

    But If for any reason its not resolved, perhaps you can provide the exact error that continues to appear when you try to launch GP.

    Hi,

    Something else you might try is simply copying the dynamics folder from a functional workstation to your problem child. Of course all of the paths would have to be the same on the two workstations.

    Hi Connie,

    Since this is the only workstation with a problem, I would say the best course of action would be to have a look in the windows event logs to see if you can find any clues there.

    Alternatively if you uninstall the software and reinstall it there is a chance that will resolve the issue.
