Create new Company and Contact through direct Database query

Hello,

I'm currently trying to create new contacts and companies through direct database calls. I found 3 major tables containing e.g. account information : dbo.AccountBase, dbo.AccountExtensionBase, dbo.CustomerAddressBase, dbo.Account. Is there anything else I have to keep in mind before trying to create a new company?

    Creating new records in this way is not supported and I recommend that you do not do this.

    The only supported ways to add records are via the interface, importing or using the SDK and the web api.

    If you add records to database tables directly you risk corruption and not receiving support from Microsoft.

    I completely agree with Feridun. This is not only unsupported by also very dangerous and can jeopordize the stability of the application. This is more so than for more traditional applications as Dyn CRM is a meta data driven application, meaning that it contains the descirption of itself. So it actually asks itself what select statments it needs to ask itself. Imagine if you manage to create an inconsistency somewhere in this logic, it could result in select statments being generated that do not match the real database.

    If you want to used SSIS to integrate with CRM I stronly suggest looking at this product: www.kingswaysoft.com/.../ssis-integration-toolkit-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm

    Don't do it, although you can update SQL you are not updating the filtered views.

    You are breaking the model, and breaking the security architecture.
