Word templates Unexpected Error

Hi,

I have created couple of new Word document templates and tested them against account record - all worked fine. As customer started testing the templates, got an error 'Unexpected Error', without a possibility to 'Download Log File' (greyed out). 

So after further testing found that templates work fine for some account records, but not the others.

If anybody has got any ideas, it would be interesting to hear them.

    Hi Larry,

    I encountered the same when using Word Document templates for quotes and invoices, including account information of course.

    I could solve the issue by entering a currency in the account's currency field.

    Thanks Michael,

    I have tried it and it worked.

    In the mean time I logged SR with MS had a screen sharing session, they turned on logs went away and now waiting for response since last week.

    It is a bit annoying that workarounds work better than solutions or fixes...

    Tried on two different customer solutions now. The template works if there are no opportunities or cases on the Account - otherwise it fails. I believe that it has something to do with sorting on the xml.

    Adding to your query ,I encountered the same issue when included the "entityimage" as a Picture Content Control in the word Document template for Account.

    It works fine if the Account doesn't have any Image but if the Account record has an Image it throws an error as Unexpected error with the Download Log button grayed out.
