Office 2016 and GP2013/Management Reporter

Is anyone running Office 2016 with GP 2013 and Management Reporter 2012? I've been told that the email function will not work but no one can tell me definitively whether I'll be able to import/export reports from/to Excel. Next step is to create a test system to see if it works, thought I'd give this a shot first.

I'm running GP2015, Office 2016, MR2012 and have no problem
