Task Completed...any way to re-open

We have a user who 'somehow' marked a number of tasks complete in a group.  I can tell because it was modified by him and they were all done at the exact same time.  He does not recall completing them all.  Is there anyway to re-open??

I have also had users say that they will mark a task complete then remember they did not update the task as to what happened at the meeting or on the phone call and they cannot modify.

Please advise.

I'm on Dynamics 2013 and set up the workflow described below and it works very well for us:  francisedwin.wordpress.com/.../crm-2011-re-open-closed-task

    Victoria,

Through the UI, is not possible. No out of the box ribbon.

You need to run a workflow...

    marcellotonarelli.wordpress.com/.../re-open-closed-task-phone-call-email-or-activities-in-ms-dynamics-crm-2011

    astutecrm.wordpress.com/.../crm-2011-re-open-closed-task

(I think same with JBill reference post just different link)

It also can be used to another activity entity.

    Or use this another way:

    www.magnetismsolutions.com/.../how-to-reopen-closed-activities-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2013-with-bookmarklet

    Or using SDK:

    harishgola.blogspot.com/.../crm-2011-reopen-or-reactivate-closed.html

But need to be careful with the date stamps, will be no history of the date of first open, first complete, re-open, and then complete again. You need to create your own history or you can use audit history.

    Thank you.

-Create an new Workflow on the task entity.

-Select “On-Demand” under Available to Run.

-Click Add-Step and select Change Status.

-Select the entity as Task and set that to open and the below options as desired.

    -Save and “Activate” the workflow.

-Done with the workflow! Now, select the desired task from the list of activities and select -“Run workflow” – Pick the relevant one and click OK, we are done.

    Hi Victoria,

Yes there are a few ways to re-open activities. You can use a javascript booklet and past this into your browser or write a custom on-demand workflow or you can buy a solution for D365 and upload this which will add a menu option to your activities screens (the easiest way). I have one here if you still need one

    Hi,

I was looking for some solution which could be applied to any of the activity in dynamic 365 CRM, which should work in UCI.

I created a generic solution to re-open any activity which is marked as completed or closed.
