Trying to download KB 3018235 (DMF components do not work with SQL 2014 in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2) from LCS via https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3018235/dmf-components-do-not-work-with-sql-2014-in-microsoft-dynamics-ax-2012.

However, looks like the download page is no longer available. Our support agreement is active.

Does anyone know how to download this hotfix?

You can try to download it from Lifecycle services (AX2012 project). If you can't find it you can create a support ticket for MS and ask for it.

R2 is out of support, so chances are Microsoft might have stopped downloading such fixes that were related to versions prior to AX2012-R3  For example you cannot download CU9 for AX2012-R2

Thanks for your response. However, I tried downloading via LCS (Lifecycle services) and got an error "Page no longer exists". I don't think I can create a ticket without incurring additional cost.

I was wondering if there is another hotfix download source other than Lifecycle services. Did Microsoft move it anywhere recently, or are the hotfix downloads supposed to be available under Lifecycle services?

LCS is the correct place for downloading hotfixes. If it's not there, maybe MS has taken out the R2 fixes when the mainstream support ended. You can still ask from support, I think the cost of that is not very high compared to spending hours in trying to find it elsewhere.

    Thank you both for clarification!

I did not know the 2012 R2 support ended as our MS account manager said it should be active till 2021 :(

I guess we need to either plan an upgrade to R3 (not sure how long that's going to last) or just develop a new import process bypassing DIXF

The mainstream support ended just recently, the extended support continues until 2021. You can find this information by searching the web for Dynamics AX 2012 support lifecycle.
