we are trying to move our configuration for batch tracked items from Batch Above to Batch Below reservation hierarchy (moving batch dimension under the location).
We are facing an issue with inventory counting: when we perform a short pick, we have enabled in the Work Exceptions form the /Adjust stock/ flag, meaning that an adjustment journal should be posted to remove the quantity that is not physically in the location.
It seems that with batch below hierarchy, no quantity adjustment is posted in such cases. The documentation states that If this option is selected, all the stock available on the licence plate and dimensions above this will be adjusted when the work exception occurs. Stock that has already been reserved by work will not be adjusted.
Since the batch is below the license plate, it seems that for this reason the journal is not posted.
Do you have any suggestion on how to solve this situation, in case the batch is not reserved?
