AP Workflow - Prevent submitters from approving request without disallow approval by submitter

Hi, is there a way we can prevent submitters from approving their request without enabling the /Disallow approval by submitter/ flag. This is because we would like it to be specific to the workflow, if we enable the flag it affects all entities and every workflow.

Just wondering if there was an out of the box way to achieve this?

Hi,

There is no such standard feature for a specific workflow, you can customize it to meet your needs. You might consider adding a condition or validation rule to check that the submitter is also an approver. If so, they are prevented from approving their request, so you can meet your needs.

As you said standard feature will impact all the workflow, so you need to go for customization

Hi,

What is the workflow assignment type? If it is user group, exclude submitting users from the group.
