Extend and Integrate Dynamics 365 Human Resources

Hi,

I need to integrate this new HR with a couple of Job Portals and create and embed a few ASP.NET Forms inside Human Resources applications.

I believe it can be done using MS Power Apps where I can embed Html pages and call outside applications as well. Its it true?

My Main Questions are -

1. Need to integrate some WEB APIs with MS Dynamics 365 Human Resources.

2. Embed Web Pages inside Power Apps?

3. Can new entities be created and extend existing ones?

4. Whats the procedure and ways to extend this new HR application?

What other options are available for extending HR?

Please do let me know.

Thanks,

Yadwinder Hunjan.

    Hi Yadwinder,

You have several questions in one thread. I would recommend to read the "developers guide" on Microsoft Docs. If you then have remaining questions, please update this thread again:

    Hello Yadwinder ,

Except what André mentioned, please also refer below article which provides guidance on various options for integrating with data managed by Human Resources, describing the characteristics of different integration technologies so that integrators can make informed decisions regarding which technologies best fit their needs.

Thanks, I now know HR can also be extended thru PowerApps?

Ony 1 question I have now - Does HR has old D365 Talent Attract module?

    Hi Yadwinder,

HR is the code HR which was part of Talent. Attract and Onboard features have been deprecated and now the remaining HR features are rebranded as Human Resource.

Indeed, HR can be extended with help of the Power Platform.

In regard attract module support, please refer below article:

    community.dynamics.com/.../retiring-dynamics-365-talent-attract-and-onboard-apps

    1. How long can customers use Attract and Onboard?

Service for the Attract and Onboard applications will end on February 1, 2022. Eligible customers can continue using Attract and Onboard until February 1, 2022 or the end of their most recent Dynamics 365 contract or renewal, whichever occurs first.  Current customers will be able to renew their contract up until June 6, 2020.

Eligible customers are defined as either 1) current customers who have purchased or renewed Dynamics 365 Talent, Dynamics 365 Unified Operations plan, or Dynamics 365 Plan 2 prior to February 3, 2020. or 2) customers who have opted in via the defined process below.  Customers who are not eligible by February 3, 2020 will be unable to access Attract or Onboard after February 3, 2020.

    Hi Andre,

We have Human Resources in one environment which we have integrated with Dataverse

At the same time, we have CE in another environment ( Project Service, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service)

We would like to connect CE with HR  mostly because the "Bookable resource" table contains the list of employees and contractors in HR and would like to work with both data for reporting purposes.

Is this something that could be accomplished using Dual-write? If so, could you please share some documentation for it. All I can find is F&O and CE

    If not, any insight/advice?

    Thank you!

The Human Resources module in Dynamics 365 Finance supports dual-write connections, but the Dynamics 365 Human Resources app doesn't. Please refer: docs.microsoft.com/.../connection-setup

    Hi Nory,

You can still use Data integrator for integration between D365 HR and D365 CE. Please check the below documentation.
