Hi,

I would like to understand the prerequisite for replacing existing Site & Warehouse with new one in AX2012 R2 CU10.

Note: On hand inventory is available for existing site.

Regards

Udit Dhawan

    Hi,

Can you explain what you mean by replacing?

Do you have some inventory at the site and want to move it or do you want to get rid of the site?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

    Thanks for your reply.

We want to create new warehouse & site to get rid of the old site & warehouse.

Old warehouse has some inventory also which we need to transfer to new location.

So what should be best approach to do this.

For instance: Dose inventory closing is required or not?

    Regards

    Udit Dhawan

    Following is my opinion:

    1. Create new site & warehouse
    2. Do appropriate setups
    3. Perform inventory audit on existing site & warehouse, it will make the inventory accurate
    4. Transfer the inventory to new locations
    5. Run inventory recalculation
    6. Run inventory closing for that period

I hope it would add value in your thoughts.
