Sorry if this been addressed before, Is this doable? Any gotchas o papers explaining any special actions?Thanks

Addt'l Components Installed: Enterprise Portal, Workflow, Reporting Services.

SQL Server is running on *another* box.

    Ramy,

    Many thanks for your answer. Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly, installing AX is not the issue, since AX is already installed. I'm more concerned about AX's 2009 pre-requisites (XP era) compatibilty with 2008-R2

    Anyway, I'm going to start checking "Guide for Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 R2" technet.microsoft.com/.../ff972408(v=WS.10).aspx
