Change Data Field Sequence with Tab key on keyboard

Hello CRM 2011 Community:

Our Contact and Account forms were customized by creating new fields and shifting existing fields within these forms.  Now, when entering contact or account information, then pressing the Tab key  --  ie:  'First Name', (Tab key) to 'Middle Name', (Tab key) to 'Last Name', it does not flow/sequence in order.

Instead, when a 'First Name' is entered, followed by pressing the Tab key (expecting it to flow to 'Middle Initial'), it jumps to the 'Title' field   ...   (very frustrating).

It would be terrific to re-sequence/flow in a logical way (from a user's perspective, ie: 'First Name', then 'Middle Name', then 'Last Name') with the Tab key on the keyboard.

Does anyone know where/how to find a solution?

Thank you in advance,

Scott

    Hello Scott,

the easiest way ist to sort the fields in the right order on the form, you can work within one section the it is going down the left row, after that the second row, 3rd row... You can split that by sections or tabs so that it's moving right earlier.

It is also possible by code, check out this:
