Outlook on home page is causing Unhandled Object Exception

I just upgraded a user from Windows XP to Windows 7. When the user opens Microsoft Dynamics GP, they are now receiving the following error.

Unhandled Object Exception

One or more items in the folder you synchronized do not match.  To resolve the conflicts, open the items, and then try this operation again.

EXCEPTION_CLASS_OBJECT_EXCEPTION

ExceptionSubClass:4096

If we click OK, the user can use GP with no issue that we can see.  We found that if we remove Microsoft Office from the home page, this error goes away.  There seems to be some folder on the server side that is holding these settings as the home page customization was brought over from the old computer.  Is there a way to remove this customization, rest it, or troubleshoot what is causing the issue?

Do you have the Office Web Components (OWC11) installed? If yes have you tried to get the background folder inside GP folder from another working machine to make sure that the page is not customized?

We do have OWC installed but the HomePage.xsl is exactly the same from their old computer to the new.  However, there is a version difference between what was installed on the old computer and the new computer.  When I run PSInfo, I get two installations, one matches up and has a version number of 12.0.6213.1000 and the other installation is different where the old computer has an older version of 11.0.6558.0 and the new has 11.0.8173.0.  Could this be causing the issue?

It very well could be causing the issue. Can you reintall Outlook or Office?

So I figured out that the ODBC driver was incorrect.  The user that we were using was not the correct user and was causing random issues.  I don't know why this was affecting the Outlook OWC part of GP but that was the initial error that we were seeing.  I found this out after the user was using GP and they received an ODBC access error.  I double checked the connection and the user that the connection was using did not have the correct level of permissions that the user needed.  Thank you everyone for you suggestions and help.
