Scheduling Email in Quick Campaign Sending Email's Instantly

Hello Experts,

I have created a Marketing List and configured a Quick Campaign to send Email for some later Date and time. I used following configurations:

After, I close the configuration wizard it delivers the emails instantly. Can somebody explain me why due date setting is not working ? My understanding is that it should wait till the configured due date and time.

    This old post was clear - however I would like to do the same but for a quick campaign of say 30 people so I would have to go into each email and schedule manually? There's no GUI option to schedule that? I would need to get some developers involved then.

    Hello Nya ,

    I am doing the same process as described here using the Scheduler function. To send the emails in bulk I created a workflow that changes the status reason of the Email from Draft to Send Pending (which is what happens when clicking the send button manually too) . However this does  not work when I select bulk mails and run the on demand workflow.

    I am not able to find out what i am missing? Maybe you have tried a bulk send before.

    Then you may consider to design a Flow to achieve your request.

    Thanks for your response.

    but, manually scheduling individual emails to send later won't work here. I have to send emails in 100s with a monthly frequency.

    Hi Sheraz,

    The due date has nothing to do with automatically sending at scheduled time. It is just a field to record the scheduled date and time which may be used in the condition of some workflows/ flows.

    If you’d like to send an email as you scheduled, please configure the Email Engagement. And it will be shown in the following location.

    After setting the schedule, the Email Engagement will be shown as:

    It still needs to click the Send button to start the scheduled sending, and the status of the email will turn into Pending send.

    The email will not be sent (Status Reason = Sent) until the timing set in Email Engagement.

     

    So if you’d like to send an email at the time you set via Quick Campaign, what you need to do are the followings:

    1. configure the Email Engagement
    2. Untick the 3rd option - 'Mark email messages to be sent and close corresponding email activities' in the screenshot you provided when creating the Quick Campaign.
    3. After creating the Quick Campaign, go to Activities view to find the email in the list.
    4. Schedule email to be sent at a later time through Email Engagement.
    5. Click the Send button manually.
