Hello, I've been searching for a SOC 1 for Dynamics SL, but am only finding information for Dynamics 365. I'm continuing the search, but thought I'd ask in case anyone already has it.
Hello - were you able to locate the latest SOC-1 for Dynamics SL? We are also attempting to locate it as well and have not found it on the Microsoft site. Thanks.
Each major SL release and each CU release includes several PDFs, the latest document is SummaryofChange2018CU8.PDF. The PDFs may be downloaded as separate files, and they are included in the ZIP file download of each CU. Microsoft's practice is to only include the changes from the previous release, so the SOC documents for CU5 - CU6 - CU7 - and CU8 should be reviewed for all changes between your current installation and the latest SL2018 release.
Most SL clients check with their existing VAR to get that information if they aren't already setup to access Microsoft's Customer Source web page where downloads are available. If you aren't working with an active MS partner, other SL partners will be glad to assist.
Thank you for your response. However, tThe SOC-1 report is a "System and Organizations Control" document, not a Summary of Change document. It is essentially an attestation report by an audit firm attesting that various controls are in place. Microsoft has a link for SOC reports for a variety of its services (the link is: learn.microsoft.com/.../offering-soc-1), but I don't not see one for Dynamics SL, which is required by our auditors. Would you know where we can obtain the latest/current one for Dynamics SL?

The discussion on SOC contrasts cloud hosted products (MS D365 financials) vs. products that were not developed to be SAAS, which would include Dynamics GP / SL / NAV / AX.
Microsoft does not issue SOC reports for GP or SL as they are intended to be installed on premise. SOC reports are used for cloud services and Saas offerings like Dynamics 365 Business Central.
If you have installed Dynamics SL on a cloud service provider, that provider may have a SOC report for their facilities if that helps.
