Management Reporter: "You don't have access to this company."

Hello:

A GP 2015/Management Reporter 2012 CU15 with the Data Mart end user cannot access any of her companies in Management Reporter.  When she tries to set one as default, she receives the following message:  "Unable to connect to the 'company name' company. You don't have access to this company."

I have looked through all of the online documents on this error, but none of the remedies have worked.

What causes this, and what can we do to fix this?

Thank you!

John

    Hi, John,

We've had something similar happen. Here's one thing that works: log into Management Reporter with sa credentials; then have the user go to Company >> Companies >> Credentials and type in her/his user name and password and check the box to "Save my credentials".

    Regards,

    Steve

Thanks, for the quick response, Steve!

Unfortunately, this one user is the only user and she's the Management Reporter Administrator.  She does not login to GP with "sa".  And, the "Credentials" button is greyed out when she views the properties of one of the companies.

Any ideas on how to get around this roadblock?

    Thanks, again!

    John,

As the GP Admin and the M-R Admin, I guess I don't think twice about using the sa login. All I know is, if the database Admin logs into M-R for your user w/the sa credentials, then ensures that the user changes the Company credentials, then your user should be good to go.

There may be another way around this, but somebody with more moxie will have to chime in!

    Regards,

    Steve

This message appears when the database integration has not been enabled.

Enable the Integration and make sure records are integrating and completed before accessing MR.

    @Anna,

    Go to Form Customization/"Form Editor".

    Go to the "Insert" table.

Click on the "Sub-Grid" button in the displayed Ribbon-bar (I'm looking at CRM2016 as I typre this).

A form is displayed.  Enter the details appropriate to you application & entities. ;)
