Does anyone know the official stance from Microsoft on support for Dynamics GP 2015 with the SQL database hosted in Azure SQL Database (PaaS). I can't see it listed on the Dynamics GP 2015 system requirements document.
Also, does anyone know if Dynamics GP works with the database hosted in Azure SQL Database?
Thanks

I have the same question (0)Microsoft's official stance is usually, "if it's not in the the System Requirements, it's not supported". The System Requirements usually reflects configurations tested by Microsoft.
From a technical standpoint, it is not possible to host Dynamics GP databases on Azure SQL, not even with the use of Elastic Pools - needed to be able to perform inter-database operations, like the ones done between company databases and the system database in many cases. Also, you won't be able to run Dynamics GP Utilities to create companies or do any other maintenance. There's no support for 'sa', and that's a problem since there are still some third-party applications that have tied themselves to it to create their database objects and run some administrative procedures.
